Required Supplies (Must have EVERY DAY):
|
Internet Usage (REQUIRED):
You will be using several sites for our classes this year such as Google Classroom, Seesaw, StudySync and IMPACT. There will be agendas and/or links regarding activities, assignments, and projects. If you do not have adequate internet - please let me know ASAP so that we can get this remedied quickly! If you should be absent, you are still responsible for getting your assignments completed - there are no "passes" due to missing class. |
You will find your pencil, eraser, pen (blue or black ink), highlighter, lined paper, notebook, headphones/earbuds, and your Chromebook...
IN YOUR BACKPACK! |
Each class has its own tab!
Click on the appropriate tab Exploratory, ELA/SS Section 1, and ELA/SS Section 2 to find out about assignments, homework, projects and more! |
ASSIGNMENT/ HOMEWORK POLICY FOR ALL CLASSES! |
CELL PHONE POLICY FOR ALL CLASSES! |
Part of being in middle school is learning responsibility for one's behavior and one's work! Therefore, late work will NOT be accepted. As a rule, ample class time is provided for you to complete assignments. However, sometimes it will be necessary for you to complete the assignment for homework that night. NOTE: If there is an issue and you think your work will not be turned in on time, please contact me ASAP so we can work something out.
|
Cell phone use during class time is not allowed - Period! Cell phones must be turned off or silenced and kept in your backpack during class time (they cannot be on your person!)
If you decide to keep it on you or use it in class, I will confiscate it and a parent will have to pick it up from the front office. |
HomeworkThe ELA and SS classes will have homework from time to time. The Exploratory class is more project-based and therefore will rarely have homework. All classes will be required to complete in-class assignments for homework if you are unable to finish it during class time or if you are absent. If it is not returned the following day, you will receive no credit for it.
|
ProjectsProjects are due according to the assigned due dates in the project packets and project planners. Some class time may be given for projects; however, there is no guarantee that this will occur. Please note that no project can be completed using class time alone. It is expected that you will work on your projects at home.
|
AbsencesIf you are absent (this includes off-campus suspensions), it is your responsibility to find out what you missed and get it done by the following day. You can do this by checking the weekly agenda in Google Classroom, StudySync. Ms. Charles has 100 or so students, and therefore cannot hunt you down to give you your missing work - It is your responsibility.
